Lack rarely announces itself as a big crisis. Most of the time it whispers, “You don’t have enough,” and then it keeps talking until it rewrites your whole day. We walk through how a scarcity mindset can start with financial stress and quickly snowball into a chain reaction: harsh self talk, old relationship pain, shame, and that heavy feeling of moving through life on autopilot with no motivation. If you’ve been stuck in anxiety or low grade depression, you’ll recognize how fast the mind can turn missing money into missing hope.

We also bring the conversation back to faith, Christian healing, and spiritual growth through two anchor passages. Mark 9:24 gives language for the real inner conflict many of us carry: “I believe; help my unbelief.” We talk about why that kind of honest prayer matters when you’re struggling with doubt, and how God can use believers to support people who feel their faith running thin. If you’ve ever felt guilty for having fear, this is a gentler, truer way to approach it.

From there, we connect Mark 4:40 and the story of Peter on the water to everyday life: storms hit, fear rises, and the moment we start doubting is often the moment we start sinking. We share a practical reset for financial anxiety and scarcity thinking: returning to God as provider, strength, and counselor, then laying burdens down instead of carrying them alone. If this helped you, subscribe, share it with a friend who’s overwhelmed, and leave a quick review so more people can find it. What’s one area where lack has been getting loud lately?

Welcome And The Topic Of Lack

SPEAKER_00

Hey, hey, good morning. I'm Robin Black, and this is It's All About Healing Podcast. Today I wanted to speak about lack. Right? When we live in a scarcity mindset and how it takes us down a deep, dark rabbit hole, right? It's

How Scarcity Triggers A Downward Spiral

SPEAKER_00

the domino effect. If you're lacking financial needs, you start thinking even deeper. You're just like, uh, I don't have this money. I don't have this. I'm not going to be able to make ends meet. I'm not going to be able to have this bill. Then it leads you to thinking about, I don't know, a past relationship. You just like every negative thing happens. You or you look in the mirror and you say, not only do I not have these funds, I don't even look right with what I'm wearing. I can't afford new clothes. I can't do this. I can't do that. You start thinking about all the things that you can't, or all the things that you don't have. And

From Negative Thoughts To Numbness

SPEAKER_00

it just, it just keeps going and going and going and going to the point where now you're just in this depressive mode. Now you just feel down. You feel like all it is is just darkness, a sense of just numbness, numbness. I don't know where to go. I'm just on autopilot, just waking up every day doing what I'm supposed to do, go to work. No motivation. Because now that motivation has been taken from me because I'm so focused on what I'm lacking.

Help My Unbelief And Real Doubt

SPEAKER_00

But I was looking in the in the book, Mark, and it was Mark 9, 24, and he said immediately the father of the child cried out and said, I believe. Help my unbelief. Right. And when that stood out to me because it's for those who are struggling with doubt. And so God uses us healers, us believers to help those who don't have the faith.

God As Provider In Financial Fear

SPEAKER_00

And we too, we're we're not perfect. I know I myself felt that I had to go out and chase money, chase money, chase money, even though I have a great job. God has blessed me with a wonderful job. But I still sometimes feel that that lack, that lack sinks in, and you feel like, oh, I got to get this or I won't be okay. I'm not gonna make it. I'm not gonna do this. I'm not gonna be able to do this. How should I do this? Oh, and then it's like for a minute, God brings me to that realization and He sets me down. I need you to focus on me. I am your provider. I am your strength when you're feeling weak. I am your counselor. Right? I am the great I am. He is everything. So that's that's where God is just like, I need you to come to me when you're not, when you're feeling weary, when you're feeling that vibration of lack.

Fear Versus Faith In The Storm

SPEAKER_00

In Mark 4.40, he said, he said to them, Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith? So this occurs after Jesus calms the storms, challenging the disciples for letting fear overpower their trust, their trust in him. Just like he did with with Peter when Peter was walking on the water.

unknown

Right?

SPEAKER_00

And then as soon as he started started to doubt, that's when he started to sink. It's the same way with us. When we're doubting, that's when we're sinking. We're not gonna be able to stay above the waters. We have to keep constantly coming to God every single day. And I know it kind of coincides with what I was saying in yesterday's word, but also being in that lack is not easy. It is far from easy when we're struggling and we say, God, I just I don't know what to do. How can I lighten this doubt? And God says, Because it's not for you to do, that's for me to do.

Lay Your Burdens Down And Close

SPEAKER_00

But it is us that has to lay all of our burdens down at his feet. Stay blessed.
