It's All About Healing
In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we often forget to pause and truly reflect on our thoughts, feelings, and experiences. However, the "It's All About Healing" podcast emphasizes the profound impact that self-reflection can have on our healing journey. Through engaging discussions and personal stories, the hosts illustrate how taking time to look inward can lead to transformative insights.
One powerful lesson shared in the podcast is the importance of creating a safe space for self-reflection. Whether through journaling, meditation, or simply sitting quietly with one’s thoughts, carving out this time allows us to confront our emotions and experiences without judgment. Listeners are encouraged to ask themselves probing questions—What patterns do I see in my life? How do my past experiences shape my present?—which can unlock deeper understanding and foster personal growth.
The podcast also highlights the role of vulnerability in self-reflection. By embracing our authentic selves, including our weaknesses and struggles, we can begin to heal old wounds. Each episode features guests who bravely share their stories of overcoming adversity, demonstrating that vulnerability is not a sign of weakness but rather a powerful catalyst for healing.
Moreover, the hosts discuss the significance of gratitude in the self-reflection process. By recognizing and appreciating the positive aspects of our lives, even amidst chaos, we can shift our focus from what’s lacking to what’s abundant. This shift not only enhances our mental well-being but also strengthens our resilience.
Ultimately, the insights gleaned from this episode remind us that healing is not a linear journey. It requires patience, compassion, and a commitment to self-exploration. By embracing self-reflection as a tool for healing, we can cultivate a deeper sense of inner peace and connection to ourselves, paving the way for a more harmonious life. In a world that often demands our attention outward, the podcast serves as a gentle reminder to turn inward and unlock the healing potential that resides within us all.

It's All About Healing
That Could Never Be You, I Choose Me Instead: Episode 301 (Spoken Word)
That Could Never Be You, I Choose Me Instead
You could never hold me in the middle of the night if I had a bad dream…
You could never come get me if car breaks down anytime of the day
You could never come with me to one of my kids concerts or games
You could never enjoy any of the holidays with me, lighting fireworks, going to costume parties, eating dinner with family, or even dressing the Christmas tree.
You could never be there to wipe away my tears because it’s you causing the pain
You could never be there when I really need you or even to just watch tv and do nothing
What hurts the most… I know if I asked why, it’d only be excuses that I’d hear knowing you’re lying…
I know what I want and that could never be you, so this is goodbye because I finally choose me instead.
I know what I deserve and not just what I can give or how I make you feel.
It’s only God and me and He always chooses me, and He never once left me or tried to hide me or act as though He was ashamed of me.
He puts my mind at ease, by showing me how someone is supposed to love me.
It’s not about these temporary pleasures that don’t mean a thing
I choose to ignore you instead of all the red flags
God knew what it took for me to see, and now I finally see me.
Thank you, God, for never leaving me, while I was lost in the darkness that held my mind hostage.
Feeling as though I was drowning, trying to break free from the mental prison
I have to release the anger, release the hurt, release the pain, and let it all heal
Thank you, God, for giving us grace for all our imperfections and always forgiving
I’m so proud to say that I finally choose me.
Stay Blessed
